Despite the current challenges, such as the effects of earthquakes and tsunami in Japan and other countries or volcanic eruptions in Iceland, which resulted in closing the European airspace, the year 2011 brings positive trends for the travel industry. According to World Tourist Organization the number of international tourist arrivals increased by 4.5 percentage points between January and February 2011 as compared to the same period of 2010. Moreover, this tendency is expected to be continued. Tourism growth was present in almost all regions of the world.
